U5 comes with fairly good specifications keeping in view the price range in which one would normally find a feature phone.

The most astonishing thing is that the phone is loaded with 1.2 GHz quad core processor in this cheap rate. The RAM is 512 MB while internal storage is measured as 4 GB. The operating system on which this phone runs is Android 4.3 Jellybean that clearly indicates that Smart U5 is providing all the prerequisites for a smoth 3G run.
Moving on to camera, it has 5 megapixels back camera with VGA camera on front whereas it can also make videos at 720p.
The battery has power of 1450 mAh which is nearly acceptable for a 3G handset meaning that you can use the handset for the whole day in a single charge.
Besides 3G, it has various connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth, EDGE and GSM having a single SIM supported handset.
Now let’s see in this price range how many companies are offering 3G handsets
GFive Fanse A57, its processor is only 600MHz and it runs on Android OS, v2.2 and is available only in Rs. 4,500. In these specs, 3G scope automatically vanishes because you need some processing speed to run 3G service.
Nokia 208 which is available only in Rs. 5,400 is not even a cheap smartphone but a feature phone and with 64 MB RAM, they are making the fool out of people to offer 3G.
GFive Beam A68 Plus with a price range of Rs. 5,500 also offering 3G. Again phone has only 256 MB RAM and 1 GHz processor which is not adequate to handle the 3G signals.
The least acceptable threshold for the RAM to support 3G is 512 MB while above mentioned phones have terribly failed to provide specifications that are fair enough for provision of 3G. Additionally 3G service also requires a powerful battery and processor to run.
Keeping in the view the above Ufone has come up with rather better specs and also they are offering it to only Ufone customers like an offer so it can be hoped that this phone will meet the standards of 3G.
Make sure one thing before buying that seal must be affixed properly on the box. Ufone Cheapest 3G Phone, Ufone Smart U5, Ufone Smart U5 Full Specifications, Ufone's Android Phone for Rs.5,999. |
