Mobilink Foundation Organizes Clean-up Activity for Pakistan Day

Mobilink Foundation continued to celebrate “Pakistan Day” by conducting a clean-up activity on Trail-3 of the Margalla Hills in Islamabad. The annual activity involved nearly 280 participants, including Mobilink Torchbearers (employee volunteers), their families, and students from the Pehli Kiran School System.

The environment friendly activity was aimed at promoting the need to preserve Pakistan’s natural habitats and marked Mobilink Foundation’s dedication to promoting a healthier lifestyle with Mobilink employees and their families participating in the clean-up of Trail- 3 from the base all the way to Monal. The initiative was organized to promote national identity and pride by providing an opportunity to the students from the Pehli Kiran School System to celebrate Pakistan Day and encourage them to make their community clean.

Omar Manzur, Head of Corporate Communications, Mobilink shared his views on the occasion, “23rdof March is a day to demonstrate our obligation and dedication to Pakistan. The Mobilink Foundation is the curator of Mobilink’s Corporate Responsibility initiatives and we continue to put an emphasis on the preservation of the natural environment as well as the promotion of a healthier lifestyle for the benefit of our employees and the societies in which we operate.”

Mobilink Foundation remains committed to preserving the natural environment of Pakistan, and this activity is a continuation of an on-going drive to clean the various trekking trails of the Margalla Hills. As a result of the close proximity of the Hills to Islamabad, trekking has become a regular activity for many residents of the Twin Cities, and such clean-up activities are essential to preserve the natural beauty of these Hills and set precedent for others to participate more in making their surrounding clean.
