Mobicash Grows to 30,000 Retail Points Across Pakistan |
Mobicash, a Mobile Financial Solution from Mobilink and Waseela Bank, has spread its network to more than 30,000 retailers within first 15 months of its operations, said a company statement.
The expansion of MFS retailer footprint is in line with Mobilink’s aim to increase financial inclusion by providing financial services to under and unbanked population of Pakistan.
Statement claimed that Mobicash has become the fastest growing Mobile Financial Services in terms of reach in Pakistan.
Aniqa Afzal Sandhu, Head of Mobile Financial Services, Mobilink highlighted, “Our vision for Mobicash is to ensure financial inclusion for the people of Pakistan where ever they are. Our widespread reach of MFS footprint compliments our robust service portfolio of over-the-counter and mobile wallet services and will go a long way in increasing awareness and use of MFS across the country.”
With more than 30,000 retailers, Mobicash offers its customers the safest and securest way to meet their financial needs. Mobicash is offering over-the-counter services including utility bill payment, money sending and receiving facility and a secure solution for mobile wallet services.
Mobicash started its operations in November 2012 with 2,000 retailers. Mobicash recorded around 7 million transactions worth Rs. 12 billion in 2013 as it witnessed consistent rise from quarter to quarter.
